Two apologies right off the bat.
First, I’m sorry for the lateness of this episode. Planning for PAX and other things have been making sending those of us at CFD!’s home base running all over the place like the proverbial headless chicken. Let’s just pretend last week didn’t happen and that the show is only like, a day or so late, okay?
Secondly, I’m sorry as to the rough audio quality of this episode. Scott, our regular podcast guru, has been indisposed the last few weeks as he prepares to move into his newly purchased home, which is also part of the reason we haven’t recorded in a bit. Thankfully, George from Press Pause Radio stepped up, not only in being an awesome guest but also in recording the whole mess for us.
However, seeing as this was my first time editing a show together, I wasn’t exactly paying attention to volume levels and there’s a lot of clipping during the musical breaks (which you’ll also note are a bit longer than our usual breaks — that part I don’t feel sorry for. Screw you. I like music, okay?). This was in no way a flub on George’s end — it was all my lack of audio mixing skills combined with me being tired and frustrated at programs crashing over and over again.
So, provided you can get past the sound quality, we hope you enjoy this epic crossover of epic epicness between Crush! Frag! Destroy!, Press Pause Radio and Spawn Kill. And extra thanks to George and Stephanie for being awesome guests.

Obviously having blocked out the fiasco that was my previous guest experience, the boys over at PPR (Georgie Boy’s AXE, Toast and Seraxxor) were kind enough to have me sit in on their most recent show yet again.
The topic on hand?

3D Gaming!!
Did that work? No? Huh. Oh well.
Still, we discuss 3D gaming, get distracted by the mystery of canned bread and all other manner of fun stuff. Go listen to it now! And brace yourself, because George returns the favor by guesting on the next episode of Team DeathChat, which will be up… soonish.

Welcome to Crush! Frag! Destroy’s! inaugural edition of InterReviews! — a supplementary podcast and article that will go up along with certain game reviews. Basically, how this will work is Mr. Scott Thompson and myself, Sage Knox, will be asking each other questions about the game (in this case, Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii). We’re going to talk about what we liked about the game, what we didn’t like particularly well, and what we’re looking forward to in the future. If you want to listen along with us or take this article on the go, you can find the mp3 here.

Team DeathChat is back again. And with 30% fewer calories this week!
After a glitch two weekends ago caused us to lose our original episode 8 recording, we reconvened Sunday night to give it all another go. We didn’t make any attempt to re-create the magic of that show (which sucks, because it REALLY was good! Our third segment discussion on Games Journalism especially) but instead started fresh with this one. You can’t really capture lightning in a bottle twice.
Every good series needs a “Lost Episode,” right? I guess that was ours. Oh well…

After another short hiatus (and one aborted attempt yesterday), we will be returning to our headsets tonight to record episode 8 of CFD!’s Team DeathChat. Aren’t you excited? Well, aren’t you? I can’t HEAR you!
But I digress. For tonight’s discussion topic/community interaction segment, we wanted to talk about a couple of things and get your opinion on them as well.
You may have noticed we recently revamped CFD!’s review system slightly. We’ll be taking a little bit of time on the podcast to talk about that and probably the topic of reviews in general. We also want to touch on the state of that eternal hot-button phrase, “video games journalism” and what it really means, if anything. Oh, and we’ll likely be announcing next week’s contest as well. If there’s anything we’ve learned, it’s that people respond well to bribery.
We want to hear your comments and field your questions on all of these topics, plus anything else you’d like for us touch upon. Hit us up in the comments below, email us at podcast@crushfragdestroy.com, hit us on Twitter (@CrushFragDstroy) or throw a comment on our Facebook page. I think that’s more than enough ways to reach us, don’t you?
Okay, so this episode is a… little bit late. As in, it was originally supposed to be up just prior to E3. Yeah.
Rather than focus on the “why” and “how” of it all, we’re just going to let you enjoy this show. It was recorded in an age long ago. A time before E3 2010, when we didn’t yet know that a new Kid Icarus game was coming. Back when Microsoft’s camera-thingee was still Project Natal. Before Kevin Butler delivered his rousing inspirational speech at Sony’s presser.
Ahh, such simpler days, those were. How young and carefree we all were back then.

After taking a short break last week, we’re getting back on the rickety unicycle that is Team DeathChat with a new episode this week. We’re going to be recording tomorrow morning, so you have time to send us your questions, comments and other amusements. Seriously. We need the encouragement to get up early on a Saturday morning.
We do have a focus question to prompt those of you who have no idea what to write to us about, however: “E3 is just about to break wide open, but a lot of big announcements have already been made leading up to now. Barring what has already been leaked or announced early, what’s your Dream E3 2010 Surprise Game Announcement?”
Don’t feel limited to just this topic, though. We want to hear what you guys are doing, what you think of the show and more. Leave your comments in this thread below, email them to podcast@crushfragdestroy.com, leave them on Facebook or (should you be able to compress your thoughts into 140 characters or less) Tweet them to us at @CrushFragDstroy.
This is going to be rough. You’ve been warned.
I was willing to let this week slide by without a show since Scott got called in to work and wasn’t going to be able to record. Neither had I gotten prepared yet for my role as the back-up recording engineer.
This, however, did not deter Sage from getting on my case. A lot.
Flash forward a couple of hours. I’m flailing and trying to get the equipment running and it’s not working. I’m getting frustrated. Sage, with his sexy man-charm, managed to rope Scott into setting up the recording equipment and leaving the three of us to our own devices.
By this point, it is approaching midnight and I’d already begun drinking, by way of Jell-O shots.
This is going to be rough. You’ve been warned.

WE MADE A DEADLINE!
Though only just barely – it’s almost a quarter after 7pm EDT as I type these words, so the final episode of Lost isn’t on-air for almost 2 more hours. But we still made it!
And even though this week’s final Lost predictions/discussion segment is somewhat non-video game territory (unless you count the awful tie-in game), we still manage to squeeze in plenty of game talk amid our usual ramblings.
But enough of that. You have a show to listen to (or at least start) before we check in with Oceanic 815′s crew one last time. Hit the jump for the full show notes.

A new day dawns and CFD!’s Team DeathChat returns, despite a few weeks of missed dates, being one man down, and not a few technical glitches this time around.
Also, did I happen to mention that I was very tired when this episode was recorded? Well, I was. This is what’s to blame for my lack of focus and grade-school fits of laughter.
I wasn’t drunk. I promise.
Seriously.
Enjoy!

After a month of delays, what’s a couple more days, right?
Sorry for the slight procrastination in getting the new episode posted up, folks. The blame rests squarely on my shoulders for this one, as Scott delivered it to me on time.
But regardless, here it is… in all its dubious glory!
Enjoy!

We’ve finally worked out the kinks and we’re due to record our third episode of Team DeathChat tomorrow. The featured discussion is going to be our predictions for this year’s E3 trade show and we want to hear yours as well!
So, gaze into your crystal ball (or scrying device of choice) and send us your best prognostications of what unexpected announcements E3 2010 will hold. Leave a message below, on our Facebook page, via Twitter (@CrushFragDstroy) or email us at podcast@crushfragdestroy.com.
UPDATE: Seems there was an issue with the direct download link not working. Should be fine now – was simply a misnamed file issue. If you couldn’t get it before, try again. Thanks!

Two weeks! Two weeks in a row! There are celebrity marriages that have lasted less time than our podcast track record, people…
But seriously, we’re actually getting this one up on time this week. Hopefully nobody’s confused too badly, having only listened to the first episode a couple of days ago. We’re going to try to keep this regular schedule thing going. It’s kinda crazy.
Also, more good news! Team DeathChat is finally listed on iTunes, so subscribe, rate us, leave a review – hell, all of the above would be nice! We’ll drop a subscription link in the sidebar eventually, but for now you can find it in our show notes, which are under the jump.

Well, even though it’s been less than 24hrs since we uploaded the first episode of Team DeathChat, we’re about to dive into the fray again.
Tomorrow morning we’ll be recording the second episode and assuming you didn’t already die laughing at our first attempt, (which you’ve doubtlessly listened to by now, right?) we want your questions, topic suggestions, comments and more.
Currently, our plans are to talk on the issues surrounding Ubisoft and EA’s PC DRM woes – partially related to last week’s aborted discussion on PR disasters (which we had to skip for time). Beyond that, we’re open to public feedback.
Leave a comment below, a message on Twitter (@CrushFragDstroy), on Facebook, or an email – and make it interesting! We need you to help us look good, after all.
The wait is over. The podcast is finally here.
And it’s only… what? Four days late? Sadly, that was the fault of a small, unavoidable glitch. We promise that any future delays will be strictly due to our own laziness and incompetence.
However, even though we didn’t know it when we were recording the first episode, we do finally have a name for the show!
Team DeathChat
After all, seeing as we’re just a bunch of guys sitting around computers with headsets on, it’s not a very big leap to imagine us going from talking smack about games to talking smack in a game, right? That being said, I think we’ll do our best to avoid recording while knee-deep in a match of Team Fortress 2. Might be more than a little distracting.
But enough chit-chat – hit the jump for the show notes, download link and an embedded player for those of you who actually have nothing better to do than sit on our site for a couple of hours and listen. Hope you forgive our stumbles, fumbles and general nervousness. That’ll all get ironed out in the next couple of shows, we promise. Enjoy!
