Look for a friend request from ShadowPraxis on Steam and then shoot me a message the next time you’re on and I’ll hand the code over to you.
Congrats to all and thanks to everybody for entering! Please spread the word so we can continue to do stuff like this for you guys!

So by now you’ve no doubt read our review of Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West and are asking yourself “How can I acquire this game for myself without starting up a posse and pulling a daring train heist?”
Well fear not, friend! CFD! is here to keep you from having to resort to such larceny. Keeping our Wild West Week rolling, we’re offering up some copies of the game on Steam, via our friends at Fatshark and Paradox Interactive, to all of you – no outlaw antics required!
How can you enter? Hit the jump to find out, pardner.

We have stuff. You enjoy stuff, right? Who doesn’t enjoy stuff?
Well you’re in luck, because we’re giving that stuff away. We have a couple of spare games to offer this week, but sadly, only single copies of each one. So, rather than run a separate contest for each one of them, leaving them feeling all lonely and vulnerable, we figured we’d just heap them into a pile and let you have at them that way.
The other nice thing is that all of these prizes tie into site content we’re going to be posting this week. I’m sure you’ve all already seen our Joe Danger review today, so if it sounds like something that revs your engine, we have a copy to give away! Tomorrow will see our review for Doom II for XBLA, and Wednesday will have us returning to Ferelden with a review for Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening (and no, we’re not giving a copy of that away, but we do have a different DA:O DLC pack to give out).
Want to know what you have to do to get your hands on some stuff? Of course you do. Just hit that jump for stuff-related details.

Hey there, kids! Who’s up for a slice of justice with a side of comedy? Show of hands?
Well, you’re in luck! To celebrate this week’s upcoming release of Ron Gilbert’s DeathSpank (yes, that’s right – The Secret of Monkey Island‘s Ron Gilbert) on XBLA and PSN, our friends over at EA and Hothead Games have graciously provided us with some free copies of the game for our loyal readers. So if you’re down for a little Diablo-style action-RPG gameplay mixed with a liberal dose of humor, we’ve got your hook-up.
However, there’s a catch. There’s always a catch, after all. We’re not going to just do the typical random drawing sweepstakes this time around. We’re going to make you work a little bit for it.
Just how much work, you ask? Hit that jump and find out.

What’s this? Another giveaway? Of course it is! Because CFD! loves you all just that much.
And this time around, we’ve got actual games up for grabs – specifically Konami’s recent 2.5D updating of a much beloved 16-bit hero. We’re talking, of course, about everyone’s favorite armored opossum, Sparkster.
That’s right. We’re giving away two PlayStation Network codes for Rocket Knight this week, generously provided by our friends at Konami – rejoice, fans of armored marsupials!
How can you win, you ask? Hit the jump and find out.

You know, I feel like a flaming moron for not thinking of that title for our contests sooner. It’s like it was staring me in the face the whole time! But I digress…
To celebrate last week’s release of Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow on Nintendo DS, D3Publisher has generously donated some goodies for us to give away to you – our loyal readers! Collectible card gamers, fans of the RPG/anime franchise or even just fans of Akira Toriyama’s art should take heed, as we’re giving away a bunch of starter decks and boosters for the Blue Dragon Role Playing Card Game!
Wanna know how? Of course you do. So hit the jump and allow us to explain below.

First off, thanks to everybody for being patient with us through this. We know you all wanted these keys and I wish we had a couple dozen of them to hand out.
It’s really hard watching everybody beg, cajole, and the like for something like this when you only have one to go around. So believe me when I say this wasn’t picked with any sort of favoritism. The winners were picked totally at random – blame fate, if anything (though I suppose the high number of entries didn’t help either… stupid odds).
However, to every one of you who entered into this in good spirits and good intentions, everyone here at CFD! thanks you. We could have just been jerks and kept the Reach key for ourselves, but we’d rather see it go to a fellow gamer out there – we can all wait until Monday, after all.
But you didn’t come to hear me ramble – you came to see if you won or not. I understand. So without further ado…

Hey, two beta code contests running at the same time! Who would have thought, eh?
The fine folks at Bungie and Microsoft have generously provided us with a brand new, shiny, spiffy early entry key for the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. For those of you who don’t know, the beta starts on Monday, May 3rd for those who have a copy of Halo 3: ODST, but early entry codes have been flitting around the interwebs for the last day or so, rare as unicorn tears. Well, never let it be said that we here at CFD! don’t love you guys out there, okay?
How do you win it? Hit the jump and find out.

En Taro Adun, Contestant!
The Good News: We have a StarCraft II multiplayer Beta Key to give away.
The Bad News: We have A StarCraft II multiplayer Beta Key to give away.
As we mentioned on the newest Team DeathChat (if you listened, you’d already know – if you haven’t, SHAME!) we’ve got one code to give away to a lucky listener out there. Rather than coming up with some arcane system for determining who gets it involving Mercury in retrograde and the entrails of a newborn calf on a moonless night, we decided to make it simple.

Are you a fan of real world cars and locations but always thought standard racing games were a bit… dull?
Do you like the power-ups and over-the-top nature of kart racers but can’t get behind the cartoony style?
Looks like Activision’s Blur might be to your liking, then. And what luck! – CFD! is giving away codes for the recently started Xbox 360 multiplayer beta!
Ready to get your Blur on? Race past the jump for details…

Hey there, everyone! It’s contest wrap-up time!
Sorry about the delay in getting the winners up. Don’t think we forgot about you all! We just got a little overloaded with working on a bunch of other things (like trying to get more giveaways secured for you all – more on that in another post coming soon) and it just slipped past us. We actually did pick winners after the cutoff on Monday night, however, just like we promised.
And who are those lucky four winners, you ask? For that info, you’re going to have to head under the jump…

We mentioned around the time of our recent reboot that we wanted to do some giveaways to celebrate CFD!’s one year anniversary this month and we do our best to make good on our promises. So here we go!
We’re sure you may have heard tell about the Darksiders giveaway, where some early purchasers of the game received a mystery code, the purpose of which was only recently revealed. Well, it seems that CFD! has found itself in possession of a stack of these codes and it would be greedy of us to just hold on to them all ourselves. So, we here at Crush! Frag! Destroy!, being the generous souls we are, are giving away not one, not two, not even three, but four (!) sets of prizes for this particular contest! Each winner will receive a digital Hellbook disc, containing “Darksiders art, videos, and other awesome stuff!” as well as a copy of THQ’s Red Faction: Guerrilla for either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360!
Wanna know how? Hit the jump for all the rules and details…

As 2009 winds to a close, gamers around the world look back and reflect on the year that just passed. And while it may be ridiculously cliche, as rarely does a year go by without someone saying it, I’ll say it anyway…
What a spectacular year it was for games!
Seriously, 2009 – even with its myriad delays and controversies, not to mention a huge Recession – turned out some interesting, engrossing, and just plain amazing games.
Meanwhile, we here at CFD! are likewise winding down the year. In the midst of staff being busy with travel, moving and various engagements (as well as preparing for our first anniversary in operation next February) we kind of forgot until the last minute that… you know… maybe we should chime in on our picks for “Game of the Year”, like every other site is doing?
So while we’ve been discussing and voting on that amongst ourselves, we also want to hear what you guys thought were the best games of 2009.
Enter – Crush! Frag! Destroy!’s 2009 Game of the Year Reader’s Choice!

It’s a question that’s been on everyone’s mind: what will be the next class to get updated in Team Fortress 2? All that’s left now are the Soldier, Demoman, and Engineer. Well, a new teaser comic, which was posted Wednesday, will leave all the Engineers in tears.
In it, we are finally introduced to the Announcer and her adorable little assistant. Turns out that the red Demoman and blue Soldier have become friends. The Announcer, not willing to let such a transgression go unattended, decides that the best way to take care of the situation is with a healthy competition. But why am I telling you all this when you’re obviously going to go read the comic yourself?
Good. Now that you’ve gotten that done, let’s answer all the questions you might have… after the jump.

Before we get to announcing the winner, I have a couple of things to throw out there.
First off, thanks for being patient with us. We were originally supposed to announce the results a week ago, but there was a bit of a snafu surrounding that.
Secondly, regarding said snafu – For future reference: if you are entering a contest where a PC game is the prize, please be sure your computer can run said game before entering! We recommend going to Can You Run It? and checking your comp out there. It’s a super handy tool for quickly checking your rig out for whatever game you may be interested in.
Lastly, thanks to everyone who entered (all three of you…geez – what’s with people not wanting free games?). Hopefully we’ll see a bit better response for our next contest.
Hit the jump for the results.

It’s no big secret. Zombies have been the new hotness in the media for a while now. One can hardly swing a dead cat, zombified or not, without hitting something that has been touched by the taint of the hungry dead.
However, we here at CFD! know something that most of the casual masses don’t: the recent rash of zombie related books, movies and video games aren’t just fun, escapist entertainment – they’re actually preparing us for the impending zombie apocalypse! All of these bits of survival information that we’ve been consuming over the years via mass media are actually what’s going to make the difference when Z-Day finally comes.
So, to help prepare you all (and to celebrate the release of the “Crash Course” DLC pack, I suppose… you know, in theory) CFD! is giving away a copy of Left 4 Dead for PC, via Steam. All we want to know, to help us separate those who stand a good chance to benefit from this training from the ones who’ll end up as Chex Mix for the shambling undead hordes, is the following: “What is your zombie apocalypse survival plan?”
To enter, make sure you have an account with our site (sign-up is at the top of the rightmost sidebar), and join CFD!’s Steam group (the link is a little further down, under Follow Us). Once you’ve done that, hit the comments below and outline your survival plan. You can make it super serious and realistic or as ridiculously weird as you like. The winner will be picked from the entries that we find the most helpful and/or entertaining. Entries will be cut off at midnight Eastern/9pm Pacific on Friday, October 9th and a winner will be picked and posted Saturday, October 10th.
Good luck! And remember to aim for the head!
