Back in September, members of the 3DS Ambassador Program received 10 of their 20 free Virtual Console games, and were promised the others would be released soon after. Three months later, The wait is finally over–and just in time for the holidays.
Reports on Andriasang state that Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will receive the final 10 titles–all Game Boy Advance games–this Friday.
The following is a list of GBA titles Nintendo will be releasing:
- F-Zero for Game Boy Advance (aka, Maximum Velocity)
- Super Mario Advance 3
- Zelda: The Minish Cap
- Fire Emblem Seima no Kouseki
- Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
- Mario Kart Advance
- Mario vs Donkey Kong
- Metroid Fusion
- Wario Land Advance
- Made in Wario
Nintendo’s Ambassador Program was put in place right after the 3DS purchase price dropped from $249.99 to $199.99, giving early adopters an opportunity to justify their premature purchases. Initial announcements of the event prompted other consumers to then buy full-priced 3DS units before the price change occurred, therefore guaranteeing them the free Virtual Console games.
Happy Holidays Nintendo, and thanks for not being that uncle who sends us a new pair of argyle socks.
