BioWare announced both the release date for Mass Effect 3 and details for the Collector’s Edition at E3 last week. If you’ve been waiting to defend Earth from the Reaper invasion and woo your teammates into higher levels of digital romance, you’ll get your chance on March 6th, 2012.
If you’ve got an extra $20 to afford the $79.99 retail price, you can pick up the N7 Collector’s Edition, which includes a premium metal case, 70-page hardbound art book, comic book, patch, lithographic print, in-game and avatar items, and soundtrack. It’ll go nicely on your shelf with that Fallout lunchbox and Master Chief helmet.
Mass Effect 3 was originally scheduled to come out in late 2011 but was pushed back to the current release date, and as far as we’re concerned, BioWare can take as long as they like to polish what promises to be an epic conclusion to the trilogy.
