We certainly have come a long way since Doom when it comes to blasting the crap out of folk in first-person shooters. Originally we were content to just unload with whatever gun we happened to have on hand at the time. But now? We have all sorts of neat options at our disposal. Progress is a beautiful thing, huh?

This new trailer, released today for Splash Damage’s Brink, shows off some of the spiffy abilities you’ll be able to unlock for your character when the game releases for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 17th (or May 20th, if you’re checking in from Europe). Check it out.
