Weekend Warriors!

weekendwarriorsrect

It’s been a busy time here at CFD!; between bringing you a heaping helping of Halloweek content last week, getting things prepped for next week, and stuffing our own faces full of sugary treats, I think we’re all in need of a break.

What’s that? You feel the same way?!

Well then, feel free to join us in letting out an impassioned cry to the heavens, as we celebrate the delicious cherry sitting atop our long-week sundae that is…

THE WEEKEND!

What’s that? Oh, you don’t like the cherry? Well here, give it to us then.

And what better way to take a much-needed break than by playing some gosh darned video games!

Like?

rob_small_2Rob T.: Let’s see here. Strangely enough, I finally started playing Braid the other day. I may go back and try to finish that. Otherwise, Super Meat Boy and… other stuff I have yet to figure out. Also, The Devin Townsend Project in Flint, MI on Saturday for an early birthday present! Who’s coming with me? :D

Scott_smallScott: Kirby and Sonic are now complete so…. I really don’t have much to play this weekend. It’s going to be all about getting some reviews done as well as homework. How lame, right?

dustin_smallDustin: This weekend I’ll hopefully get back into Fallout: New Vegas, crack open Ivy the Kiwi?, host a Rock Band 3 party (with a splash of Beatles: Rock Band, I’m sure), and no doubt return to my dark master… Halo: Reach.

beki_smallBeki: This weekend I’m gonna be finally giving Alan Wake a go – a lovely friend is going to lend it to me. I’m also gonna have a go at finishing some of the other stuff filling up my shelves, like BioShock 2, and some of the bargains I picked up in the Steam Sale like Titan Quest!

robsteinsmallRob R.: I’m going to be out of town visiting the folks for the weekend (birthday celebration, yay!), so I’ll be sticking with portable stuff. Most likely more Gladiator Begins, Game Dev Story and my newly acquired Plants vs. Zombies.

knoxsmallSage: My plans include an ample dosage of 007: Blood Stone, Halo: Reach, and (hopefully) a snazzy new game to perfect (?) the trifecta of shooters.

nate_smallNate: Once I beat Super Meat Boy once and for all, it looks like I’ll be in for a cozy weekend of Mass Effect, Valkyria Chronicles II, and maybe a bit of Super Mario Galaxy.

john_smallJohn: I have many faces to rock in both Rock Band 3 and Halo: Reach. You may rock them with me if you like.

  1. Grr… Mrs Stevens is listening to Pandora via our PS3, so I can’t start on my weekend gaming. But twenty bucks says I’ll be a Lieutenant Colonel come Monday.

  2. Finish up DJ Hero 2, and Fable III. I might start into Force Unleashed 2, or Lords of Shadow.

  3. @patinahelix You have good taste in games. You and I could be friends.

  4. Sure. Twitter=Followed.

Bit of a last-minute adjustment: I’ve finally started on Vanquish and just secured the Limited Collector’s Edition of Fable 3 with some of my birthday monies. So once I get back home I’ll be rounding my weekend out with some commie robot slaughter and throne usurping.

Anyone with Fable 3 and a Gold account if free to join me in said usurping. Assuming my own Gold subscription hasn’t run out yet.

  6. Lots and lots of Pinball FX 2. Some ne’er do well on my friends list had the temerity to top my scores on a few tables. That can’t stand! =p
Otherwise, I’m still slogging my way through Fable 3 – with mixed opinions.
