A little while back it was announced that Oddworld Inhabitants passed the torch to Just Add Water. It was also mentioned that they had several projects planned. Well one such project was just made official: An HD remake of Stranger’s Wrath for PSN. Yes, you read that correctly. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is making a comeback. So folks who have been waiting for what feels like ages to be able to play one hell of a great game on a current-gen console only have to wait a little longer. VG247 managed to find this little tidbit earlier today. Just Add Water’s first Oddworld release will be out by next Easter, which is far too long a wait but it’s better than nothing. According to the developers it’s going to feature re-mastered dialogue, various other graphical tweaks, Move support and other unspecified goodies. They’ve also stated that the PSN exclusive will be in 720p, just in case any of you care.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.
