In the interest of full disclosure: I fucking loved Dragon Age: Origins. It was my game of the year of 2009 and it made my wife into a gamer, so it will always hold a soft spot in my heart. I would have that game’s baby and never ask for child support.
Aside from the nearly criminal visuals, only one thing bothered me about the game: Where did Morrigan go? Without spoiling anything from Origins, let’s just say that everyone’s favorite swamp witch left with something that belonged to the Grey Warden, and the recent Dragon Age II article in Game Informer hinted that I’d have to wait for the sequel next March to get the nail-biting conclusion.
But worry no more. BioWare has announced the final DLC pack for Dragon Age: Origins, entitled “Witch Hunt,” which promises to allow you to “confront Morrigan in this dramatic conclusion to the Origins storyline.” Oh, and Dragon Age junkies probably already know what comes next: you’ll get loot for your Origins and Awakenings characters and get the option of importing your old character or creating a new one with a high level.
“Witch Hunt” will be available September 7th for $7 (560 Bioware points, 560 Microsoft Spacebucks, $6.99 PSN dollars, or 6 gold 99 silver). Personally, I say that BioWare has me by the short and curlies here and they could charge a lot more, but don’t tell them that. Now I have to go tell my wife the good news.

I would just like to say that speaking as someone who made “that decision” (the one that this DLC is predicated upon) during my playthrough of Origins, I’m def. interested in seeing how the story plays out.
Curse you and your tantalizing quality, BioWare!
