Comic-Con isn’t a video game convention, per se, but that hasn’t stopped the gaming industry from having an increasingly strong presence there every year. So it wasn’t surprising that Capcom had a panel at Comic-Con to talk about Street Fighter. What was surprising was when Katsuhiro Harada (Tekken 6‘s producer) crashed the panel to help unveil the trailer for Street Fighter X Tekken.
Few details about the crossover fighting game were given outside of what could already be gleaned from the trailer, but we do know it’s being developed for Xbox 360 and PS3, and (this is really interesting) there will be two separate versions of the game. Street Fighter X Tekken will be developed by Capcom and will play like Street Fighter IV. At the same time, Namco will be making Tekken X Street Fighter, which will unsurprisingly play more like a Tekken game. Let the fanboy wars begin.
