What’s so good about going outside anyway? The guys over at Steam definitely seem to think it’s overrated, and are doing everything in their power to keep us out of the sun. Not that we’re arguing. I mean, these are some sweet deals, and well – we wouldn’t want to risk sunburn would we?
This last week, continuing through to July 4th, Valve and Steam have been bringing out the big guns with their epic summer sale. Bringing back their familiar tactics with daily change-overs, they’ve been treating us to some super savings, with promises of even more to come.
Today’s goodies include:
- The mighty Team Fortress 2 (for anyone who doesn’t have it already) – down by 66% to $6.79!
- Grand Theft Auto IV – down 75% to $4.99!
- Street Fighter IV – also down 75% to $9.99!
- X-Com Complete Pack for just $3.74!
As advertised on the site, there’s savings in “Every Genre!” – meaning there’s likely something in there to tickle your gaming taste buds.
Apart from the daily specials, there is also extended savings on developer packs and collections, including big names such as Square Enix-Eidos, Rockstar, THQ, 2K and of course Valve.
So, keep your eyes peeled for incoming deals, and with many games ringing in at less than $5, there’s no reason not to kick-back and enjoy the sun. From inside your house.

Steam has been my crack this week. I think my wife is getting tired of me coming up to her and saying “but but but, it’s only five bucks!”
Damn… I miss it already…
Got some damn good bargains though, and I loved the way they put all the top sellers again on the last day – that was a nice surprise.
I’ve got into a habit now though of checking back each day at change over time like a crazy person… :(
