Nintendo certainly pulled out a few surprises at their press conference (KID ICARUS!) so it remains to be seen if Sony, last of “The Big Three” can top them. Whatcha got up your sleeves, Sony?
We’ll find out at 12pm Pacific/3pm Eastern. As usual, we’ll be starting up the engines on the liveblog about 15 minutes before showtime to give everybody a chance to “find their seats”, as it were. Will we get confirmation of the Team Ico HD collection? PSP 2? You’ll have to join us and find out!
The press conference will be streamed live on G4 and for those of you without cable, you can stream it from the following locations (just remember to keep our liveblog open right next to it or we’ll cry):

My only big concern is the Move’s Price. The Move bundle (one controller, PS eye, and game) is $99, the navigation controller is $29, and extra controllers are $49. We’ve seen games that use two controllers for each person, so if you want the whole set (2 controllers, 2 nav controllers, eye and game), it’ll set you back $310–more than any console!
The press conference tried my patience. The amount of times they repeated the same phrases and showed the same stuff in montage form was mind boggling. That said, they had some good looking games…though it’s sad we didn’t see any mention of Last Guardian.

My favorite thing was watching the poll at the bottom of the screen over on 1UP’s Liveblog. It was a “who has the best press conference so far” poll and Sony had a 20% standing…then Portal 2 appeared and it went up to 29%. Over time it settled back to 26%. When they announced Twisted Metal, I watched it drop another 4% in 2 minutes.
It was fun to see which announcements prompted sudden changes.
