Team Fortress 2 Mac Premiere Brings New Modes, Earbuds, Sale Price

Okay, first off, we’re sorry for getting this posted up on Saturday evening. In doing this, we have perpetuated a great injustice to fans (or potential fans) of Team Fortress 2 who already have to deal with the indignity of being Mac owners. We will do our best to make things better posthaste.

First, as you already know, Valve’s multiplayer shoot-stravaganza, Team Fortress 2, launched on Steam for Macs on Thursday, June 9th. This was already amazing enough news as it is. However, there’s more to it than just that.

You see, not only is the game free to play this weekend, but it’s also on sale for the low, low price of $10! What? Saving money not good enough for you, Apple fans?

Then how about some in-game iPod earbuds? That’s right – if you play the game by Monday, June 14th, you (and you ALONE, Mac fans – PC users have to sit this one out) get to sport your love for all things iBranded on your Scout, Heavy, Sniper (poor lonely guy needs sometime to pass the time), or whatever your favorite class might be. Besides, it’ll also let us PC players single out who the noobs are more easily. Hope you don’t mind.

But all is not lost for the fresh meat out there, as Valve has generously added an all-new, single player “training mode” to ease you in. That’s right! If you’re afraid of showing your greenness to everybody in the scary wilds of the internet, you can hone your skills against hordes of bots until you’re ready to run with the big boys!

But enough talking – what are you waiting for? Get on that… right now!

  1. Well, when are we doing the community TF2 night??

  2. I personally require a mouse first. I just can’t play the game with a touchpad. :P

They are still giving them away here http://forums.busybeingbrutal.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=38

Seems Valve didn’t pull the plug on June 14th like they initially said!
