Modern Warfare 2 was a big hit. Treyarch’s World at War was too, just not as successful as series creator Infinity Ward’s successor in the Call of Duty franchise. Now that Infinity Ward is all but kaput, Treyarch’s the main man when someone (read: Activision) says, “HEY, WE WANT MORE CALL OF DUTY.”
So it’s understandable that the newly announced Call of Duty: Black Ops would go for a Modern Warfare vibe with its debut trailer during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Take a look for yourselves:
