You did it! Despite a few pieces of gutter slime slowing things down, The Humble Indie Bundle has officially cracked the $1 million mark! I’ll admit, I’ve gone from disappointed to proud in record time.
Not content to merely sit back and bask in the glow of a job well done, Wolfire Games has collaborated with the developers featured in the bundle in order to give back to those generous 120,000+ contributors. You know, because being able to buy five excellent games for whatever price you choose is apparently stingy. No, they’ve decided everyone deserves a big pat on the back.
Not only have they extended the deadline by a few more days (until the 15th), but four of the five games are going open source. With the exception of World of Goo (and the late-to-the-party addition of Samorost 2), every other game in the bundle will be open. As of right now, Lugaru HD is the only one available, but Aquaria, Gish and Penumbra: Overture are all slated to follow soon. In the meantime, Wolfire is encouraging people to keep making those donations. I have to say, I’m inclined to agree with that idea.
What do you say? There are still three days left. Think we can reach $1.5 mil? I think we can.
