Introducing The Humble Indie Bundle!

Okay kids, time to put down those controllers and grab those wallets! And then, you know, pick up the controllers again.

Remember that MacHeist deal that took place a couple of months ago? Well it’s time for another crazy software bundle for a good cause, which is called The Humble Indie Bundle this time around. It’s only good until the 11th though (that’s 5 days away from the writing of this article), so you’d better act fast.

“But what’s in this bundle, and how much does it cost?” I hear you ask. Well before I tell you, I advise you to finish sipping that Jolt or guzzling that tankard of Mountain Dew first, because the specifics would probably cause you to spit your beverage all over your screen.

Included in the bundle are five different (and well received) indie games:

  • Aquaria
  • World of Goo
  • Lugaru HD
  • Gish
  • Penumbra: Overture

That’s about $80 worth of games right there. All of them Mac, Linux and Windows compatible. And the actual going rate? Well that all depends on you.

That’s right, you get to name your own price. Want to pay $10? Go ahead. How about $1? No problem. What about $13.74? Well that’s kind of a weird number but yes, you can pay that, too. And while I know the temptation to spend $1 or less on this amazing deal is great, keep in mind that this is all for charity. The proceeds will be split between the developers (developers, not the publishers) and both the Child’s Play charity and Electronic Frontier Foundation. Even then, you’re free to decide if you’d like your contribution to instead go to the developers, to the charities, or even dump it all into one specific cause (like all of it to the EFF).

You’ve all got five days. Five days to get your mitts on some of indie gaming’s greatest from last year. Five days to make a difference in someone’s life. Five days to make us at CFD!, heck all gamers for that matter, proud.
