First off, thanks to everybody for being patient with us through this. We know you all wanted these keys and I wish we had a couple dozen of them to hand out.

It’s really hard watching everybody beg, cajole, and the like for something like this when you only have one to go around. So believe me when I say this wasn’t picked with any sort of favoritism. The winners were picked totally at random – blame fate, if anything (though I suppose the high number of entries didn’t help either… stupid odds).

However, to every one of you who entered into this in good spirits and good intentions, everyone here at CFD! thanks you. We could have just been jerks and kept the Reach key for ourselves, but we’d rather see it go to a fellow gamer out there – we can all wait until Monday, after all.

To everybody else who didn’t win, we’re really sorry, but thank you so much for participating! I wish we’d had more codes to give away.

I would also like to say an extra-special thank you to a certain batch of new followers on Twitter (you all know who you are) who kept me entertained, smiling and lifted my mood out of the bad place it had been earlier today. You guys are the reason I started this site. People like you are what keep me doing this week after week for no pay and no acclaim. Thanks again to all of you!

And I know a fair number of you will probably disappear, never to darken the door of CFD! again since you didn’t win your code. Hell, those of you who won may even do it, for that matter! But we’d like it if you stuck around for a while and gave us a chance. We’re looking to build a community of gamers here and we can’t do that without a few people willing to stick it out and hang with us through the lean times when there are no beta codes for upcoming AAA blockbusters to be had.

Besides, if you run away now, you won’t be around to get in on whatever contests we run in the future, right? Yeah… we thought so too.
