Hey, two beta code contests running at the same time! Who would have thought, eh?

The fine folks at Bungie and Microsoft have generously provided us with a brand new, shiny, spiffy early entry key for the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta. For those of you who don’t know, the beta starts on Monday, May 3rd for those who have a copy of Halo 3: ODST, but early entry codes have been flitting around the interwebs for the last day or so, rare as unicorn tears. Well, never let it be said that we here at CFD! don’t love you guys out there, okay?

Okay, so the StarCraft II beta contest we’re running has a deadline of tomorrow night (Friday, April 30th) at Midnight Pacific Time. The SCII beta is also running for a few more weeks, so that’s not exactly a huge rush. The Reach key, however, we need to be a bit swifter with – after all, it’s not exactly “early entry” if we make you wait till Monday to give it out, is it? So here’s what we’re going to do: we’re going to give the Halo: Reach key away at the same time – after midnight tomorrow night.

I realize that may seem like an eternity to you all who are chomping at the bit to get an early taste of Spartan-on-Covenant action, but you’ll still be getting in a full weekend before those poor saps who only have their ODST entry to comfort them. And who knows – maybe if we get enough positive response on this thing, we might be able to get the Powers That Be to give us an extra code or two to hand out in the end? No promises on that though.

But enough of that – you all want to know how to enter, right?

How You Can Enter:

We’re going to do this one the same way we’re doing the SCII beta contest.

1. Register here and leave a comment below this post (Registration is required – you can do so via the far right sidebar where it says “Login.” A lot of you seem to have overlooked this requirement who are commenting).
2. Join (or “Like”, I guess, since they changed it) the Facebook group and leave a comment in the post about the contest there (“Like”-ing is required. Also note, Facebook has been sometimes returning Page Not Found errors this afternoon. Don’t worry – the page will show up eventually).
3. Follow us on Twitter (@CrushFragDstroy) and tweet the following: “@CrushFragDstroy is giving away a Halo: Reach beta key! Details at: http://tinyurl.com/2gx57q8 ” (Following is required so we can DM you).

We’ll pick one person at random to be selected for the prize among all eligible entries. And yes, you can enter all three ways – each will count as one entry. Entry cutoffs are at Midnight Pacific Time on Friday, April 30th, 2010.
