Since its reveal at E3 last year I’ve been following the development of ModNation Racers closely and it’s definitely one of my most anticipated titles of the year. So it’s with great joy and excitement that I bring you some new details on the PS3 and PSP exclusive.
First the release date for both versions has been set for May 25th which means we’re a little more that 2 months away from some exciting cart racing action. Second, fans who are looking to pre-order ModNation Racers have a decision to make as there are 3 exclusive characters and carts that can be obtained from one of three different retailers. On top of that, each person who pre-orders the game will get a Bonus Mystery Mod and Kart kit, which include not only the mod and kart, but additional accessories that can be used to trick out your own creations.

Lastly, old school kart racing fans surely remember marathon split screen action with 3 friends and copious amounts of trash talking. Well, ModNation Racers brings split screen racing back in two forms.
- 2 Player Split Screen where players can race against each other or take the action online and compete against other players.
- 4 Player Split Screen where you can race against friends or family.
