Weekend Warriors

Weekend Warriors LogoIt may be the middle of February, but it’s not too late to enjoy the first official weekend of the year.

That’s right: it’s the first Weekend Warriors of 2010!

Better late than never, right?  Hopefully you’ve been able to keep the winter doldrums at bay since we’ve been gone.  If you’re anything like me, your backlog of games has increased dramatically in the past several months. Fear not, that’s what the weekend is here for!

I plan to spend some quality time with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time this weekend, and with any luck I’ll have it finished in no time. I might also take some time and sit down with the first two games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Other than that, who knows?

Hit up the comments below and tell us your weekend gaming plans! And if you haven’t yet, be sure to enter our one year anniversary contest for a chance to win a copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla!

  1. Extra thanks to Nate for handling the first WW of 2010 while I was away. Don’t blame him for it going up late – blame my hotel’s lack of in-room internet.

Also, I’m not going to be playing much this weekend beyond the “relaxing on vacation” game. Fun stuff ;)

  2. I find myself in the peculiar position of not really having much of a backlog this weekend. Most of what I’ve been wanting to play has been played (played to DEATH in the cases of Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2), and I haven’t acquired many new games to chip away at.

I know I’ll end up playing through the newly-released Resident Evil 5 Lost in Nightmares DLC, and still need to complete the AvP Marine campaign (also get some multiplayer in). Other than that… I dunno, maybe more Bioshock 2. :P

I’m slogging away at Battlefield: Bad Company 1 (it’s still a load of fun, FYI), some intermittent online Madden matches, and Plants vs. Zombies on iPhone.

  4. Is it bad that I want an iPhone almost entirely for Plants vs. Zombies?

  5. Omg me too :< I've played the PC version through too many times now, absolutely love it <3

In a word, yes. The PC version is definitely superior, but it’s still a fun game. Not worth $300 plus AT&T’s ridiculous service plans. I’d say go for an iPod Touch.
