LEGO Star Wars III Announced – The Gravy Train Keeps On Rolling

They’ve done the prequels, they’ve done the originals, they’ve done the entire saga as a single game, so what could possibly be left for LEGO Star Wars to cover?! Why The Clone Wars of course! Yesterday, LucasArts announced that Traveller’s Tales will once again be bringing the world of LEGO to the Star Wars universe in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Or would that be bringing the Star Wars universe to the world of LEGO?
Given the rate at which Traveller’s Tales has been making these LEGO branded games I guess a Clone Wars adaptation shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone. That being said, TT’s LEGO games have generally been both fun and creative experiences so Star Wars fans shouldn’t mind jumping into the shoes of their favorite jedi knights one more time.
This new entry in the franchise, based on the Clone Wars animated TV series and film, will include head-to-head combat and an upgraded level editor so players can make their own ”customized bases and in-game battlefields”. Players can also choose to play as a member of either the Jedi or the Separatists, with each faction coming with their own unique powers.
Like it’s older brothers, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is set to be released on pretty much every platform available and should be out sometime this Fall.
