I’ll admit that I don’t know what to make of Heavy Rain; the game looks like it has potential but it’s so high-concept that there’s a lot of room for failure. It’s definitely a game that needs a demo and it looks like SCEA felt the same way as the Heavy Rain demo will be available for download on February 11th via PSN. Players will get to sample two chapters of the game and play as Norman Jayden and Scott Shelby as they search for clues and pursue the Origami Killer.

SCEA also released a new trailer via the PlayStation Blog, which you can find after the jump.

If the trailer is enough to sell you on Heavy Rain (it’s almost enough for me), then mark your calendars for February 23rd, when the retail version hits store shelves.
