According to DJ David Guetta, a new DJ Hero game is in the works.
In an interview with Kelowna.com, Guetta said, “I think it’s amazing, this game, and I’m going to work on the No. 2 version.”
His praise for the music-rhythm game doesn’t stop there, as he adds, “After 10 minutes, you get the rush that a DJ gets after 10 years of practicing. I have crazy fun with it, but you know what? I can’t go to the maximum level. It’s too difficult for me. It’s crazy.”
While Mr. Guetta may not be a household name for some, his recent collaborations with the Black Eyed Peas and Akon as well as multiple Grammy nominations raise my expectations for DJ Hero 2. It suggests that Activision is continuing to involve actual DJs into the production process and will hopefully bring on more high-level names for the title.
Obviously, no release date or even an official announcement has been made at the time of this story, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
I just hope they can manage squeeze in this song…
