Remember the last Prince of Persia game? It reinvented the series by adding a surprisingly helpful AI companion and a beautiful art style that intrigued even my video game hating mother. It would be nice to see an improvement on that title, right?

Wrong, apparently.

To accompany this May’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie comes the previously announced Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The Prince is back(?) and is considerably uglier than the previous titles, but boasts a less exposed chest than Jake Gyllenhaal’s version of the character.

The following trailer itself shows no gameplay, but suggest a more platforming-focused approach to the series, hopefully bringing it back to the glory days of the original Sands of Time.
