You may not have heard of Marvelous Entertainment’s Deadly Premonition before, but if you follow the Japanese survival horror scene you may actually remember hearing about it when it was first announced under its original title Rainy Woods way back in 2007.

After a lengthy disappearance, Rainy Woods has re-emerged as Deadly Premonition, an Xbox 360 “third-person survival horror action game” and Ignition Entertainment will be bringing it stateside in early 2010.

Developed by Access Games, Deadly Premonition drops players into the role of FBI agent Francis York, who is tasked with solving a string of murders in the remote rural town of Greenvale; which looks like it’s located somewhere between the towns of Twin Peaks and Silent Hill.

The only thing about the game that doesn’t promise to be horrifying is the price tag; survival-horror fans will be able to pick this one up for only $19.99.

Yeah. I saw something about this. It looks bad, but like… good-bad. The type of bad that falls in the same category as “Return of the Living Dead” or such Peter Jackson classics as “Dead Alive” and “Bad Taste”

I for one, am looking forward to it

  2. Nice,in a B-horror movie sorta way, this is probably going to be my next 360 purchase… $20 for a survival horror game, you can’t go wrong! It’s probably only 20 because it has no multiplayer, which is fine by me, since I don’t use live, haha, suckers xD.
Oh and make a post about MW2 so we can talk about it…
