Crush! Vote! Destroy!

cfd_logo_big-copyHey guys! I don’t know if you heard or not, but there’s a game coming out this week… something about modern duties or warfare calling. I dunno, but the kids seem to really like it. Those wacky kids, with their internet petitions and hula hoops and fax machines.

In all seriousness, however, there has been a lot of hype and hooplah surrounding the last couple of weeks leading up to the release of Modern Warfare 2. PC players feel slighted because of price and the  dedicated server issues, while a number of groups are up in arms about the more sensitive topics of terrorism and war on our home soil being touched on. It really has been a hotbed of drama.

So what we at CFD! wanted to know this week is: “Has the recent drama surrounding Modern Warfare 2 changed your plans to buy the game?” If you have anything you feel like discussing about the topic, please hit our comments up and stay civil, okay?

Standard two week window applies – polls close at midnight Eastern time on Saturday, November 21st.

Enough talking… GO VOTE!

This is going to be very odd, but the removal of dedicated servers on the PC has influenced me to buy the PC version over 360. I prefer matchmaking because I don’t have to mess around with servers, pings, and a-hole hosts. Oh, and my 360 just died. :(

I’m sure I will give Modern Warfare 2 a go eventually but I don’t feel the need to rush out and grab it right away. I am excited that it’s finally coming out this week though becuase, frankly, I’m really sick of hearing and reading about it these past few weeks. That, more so than any of the drama, is what has really put a bad taste in my mouth about the game. I’m pretty sure that all this “controversy” was actually just a clever publicity campaign set up by Activision anyway.

But it still looks like a great game; and I will definitely play it.

I don’t have a PC to play it on so it doesn’t affect me at all. I played it last night at my friends house and that made me want to buy it more than anything else.
