George Harrison’s Son Confirms Rock Band 3, Still Not Personally Famous

ringo_dhani

Seriously, who’s Dhani Harrison? Maybe I’m just too young to know, but I didn’t even realize deceased Beatles guitarist George Harrison had shed offspring.

Anyway, it seems that Dhani was interviewed by the Chicago Tribune for his work on The Beatles: Rock Band and dropped some delicious hints at Harmonix’s future music rhythm title:

“I’m working on ‘Rock Band 3′ and making the controllers more real so people can actually learn how to play music while playing the game,” Harrison said. “Give me a couple years, it’s going to happen.”

Intriguing, I say. I’ve always wanted strings on my Fisher-Price instruments.

While no one should be surprised that a third entry into Rock Band’s core franchise is in the works, an interesting tidbit to point out is Harrison’s mention that it may not be released for “a couple years”.

Hopefully they can use the extra development time to get that plastic guitar tuning just right.

  1. Yep – I’m going to say it’s because you’re too young. Dhani was actually pretty instrumental in kickstarting the production of The Beatles: Rock Band. I guess it helps when you’re friends with Alex Rigopulos of Harmonix. ;P

Haha, that would probably help. Not being a huge Beatles fan myself, I hadn’t really followed the game too closely leading up to the release.

:) I like the Beatles, I’m just not a huge fan. I haven’t gotten a chance to play the Beatles: Rock Band yet but I’m looking forward to it.
