Taylor Swift, Others Talk About The Making of Band Hero Commercial

You have to wonder why Taylor Swift filmed her segments of the commercial for Band Hero separately from Travis Barker, Rivers Cuomo and Pete Wentz (of Blink 182, Weezer and Fall Out Boy, respectively). Sure, it would be easy to say that there was a scheduling conflict or some other similar showbiz excuse, but I’m much more inclined to believe my own personal theory.

You see, in my world, after the incident at the VMAs, Taylor developed a pathological fear of working with other celebrities, fearing that any of them might be Kanye West in elaborate disguises, just waiting to pounce and interrupt her during a variety of activities: getting her make-up fixed, eating a bagel at the craft services table or sending text messages on her phone between takes. Oh, the horror of celebrity!

Or maybe she just has a pathological fear of rock stars in their socks and undies.

I suppose in “reality” this likely isn’t the case, but I still prefer my version. Also, take note of Travis Barker’s conspicuous flashing of a Nintendo DS during one of his segments – that tease! Now the internets will be on fire with fans wondering just what you were playing. One would assume if it was the DS version of Band Hero, he would have been contractually obligated to flash the screen at the camera.

Band Hero hits stores this week for all platforms except PC and PSP.
