What are you going to do with that spare $25 you have laying around? Load up on Halloween candy and gorge yourself until you slip into a diabetic coma? Don’t do that – we’ve got a better idea for you, provided you have Steam, that is. You see, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and The Witcher are both on sale at the moment on Valve’s digital distribution platform.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut, CD Projekt’s role-playing game of monster slaying and boobies, is on sale until the 29th for 50% off, making it a paltry $19.99. This was a Steam “Midweek Sale”, so we’re sorry that we got to the party a bit late in reporting it. However, you still have a day left to get in on all of the swordplay and nekkid lady trading cards before it returns to its usual $39.99 price.

Meanwhile, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl drops you into an alternate history version of the irradiated Ukrainian environs surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear plant for a mere $5. This sale is running until November 2nd, giving you a bit more time to take advantage of it. Considering the game’s sequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, is due out for the rest of the world in Q1 of 2010 (it released earlier this month it its native Russia), this should give you a chance to get caught up on all of the irradiated, mutated fun. And come on – considering it normally retails for $20, getting it for $5 is a steal!

I don’t know about The Witcher, but I’ll definitely be getting S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
