The Grand Theft Auto series is well know for its satirical take on pop culture and for the most part, it has done a good job of closely treading the very fine line between believable, if exaggerated, realism and blatant comedic stereotyping.

I suppose that’s why I’m a little less keen on the newest trailer for The Ballad of Gay Tony than I have been for previous promotional materials – the TMZ-ish parody of Fizz just seems to abandon any pretense of realism for total over-the-top ridiculousness.

Although, now that I think about it, is that really so different from the actual, near-comedic state of affairs in Hollywood these days? Hrmm. Touché, Rockstar. Touché.
