In the newest Dante’s Inferno dev diary, Visceral Games gives us the lowdown on a couple of combat related factors. Dante’s arsenal gets touched on, in a segment that may be the only place where you’ll ever hear the power of the Holy Cross compared to The Force from Star Wars. Also, running at 60 frames per second helps make the effects looks “sassy” – thought you all might find that to be crucial information.
I have to say that despite my initial eye-rolling over the concept of an epic poem being turned into a God of War-style display of asskickery and badassery, I’m really starting to warm up to this game. I mean, I suppose if you’re going to imitate someone, imitate the best, right? Plus, who doesn’t want to slice their way through Hell and back? Let’s just hope that the gameplay holds up to the potential we see in these videos.
