Ziggy played guitar… well, a plastic one at least.
We really do have to wonder what the people behind Lego Rock Band were thinking; first Iggy Pop and now David Bowie? Yep – there’s nothing that kids love more than rock icons in their early 60s. Still, let’s see if Brittney Spears or Taylor Swift will still be cranking out quality tunes when they reach that age. My money’s on “not bloody likely”.
Unlike Pop, whose long hair and ripped, shirtless torso are recognizable enough to make the Lego version pretty identifiable, one might be hard pressed to know this was supposed to be Bowie at first glance. We suppose the eyes and the high cheekbones are good enough for us though.
Lego Rock Band is due out in early November. Hit the jump for some screens and a video of Lego Bowie performing his 1983 hit, “Let’s Dance”.
