NIS Titles Half Off for PSPgo Launch -plus- Badman UMD Poll

badman3

NIS America, the third leg of the niche Japanese title tripod alongside XSEED and Atlus, will be re-releasing a number of their PSP games on PlayStation Network tomorrow in celebration of the launch of PSPgo. And to make the deal even sweeter, for the next week those titles will be on sale for 50% off!

Yep, you read that correctly. For between $4.99 and $9.99 you can pick up any of the following titles:

  • Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light
  • Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
  • Dragoneer’s Aria
  • Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?
  • Mana Khemia: Student Alliance
  • Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?

You may recall that we reviewed Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! last month. The title skipped a retail UMD release and went straight to PSN. Nippon Ichi, which recently announced at Tokyo Game Show that Badman 2 was headed for a Western release, wants to know if fans would be interested in seeing a UMD version on HIoPB! in stores. You can vote either at the PlayStation Blog, or at the official NIS America site.

It seems like this sale is going to push me over the edge into picking Badman up; I was interested as it was after playing the demo. I also already own the UMD version of Prinny – does anyone out there have any recommendations among the other titles? I already own the first Disgaea on PS2… do I really want an enhanced portable version? Hrmm…

  1. You want Disgaea on the PSP. Trust me.

Not only is it the awesomeness of Disgaea in a portable form (with nothing, not even voice-acting, sacrificed), but there’s also the alternate story (read: full side-story) wherein Etna kills Laharl instead of waking him up. Bad-freakin’-ass! :D

Also, you should probably get Badman. :P
