Okay, so it looks like the original assumption of a September 23rd release date was off by about a week. In a press release issued this morning, Valve has announced that the “Crash Course” DLC expansion for Left 4 Dead will actually be hitting PC and Xbox 360 on September 29th.

For 560 MS points (or free for you lucky PC punks) you get a brand new chapter to play that plugs into the gap between the end of “No Mercy” and the beginning of “Death Toll” in the original game.

We sure hope that when the zombie apocalypse actually comes down, we have better advance intel than this. If not, we’ll all end up as hors d’oeuvres on the undead buffet before we can say “Grabbin’ peels!”
