GameStop certainly has a lot of pull with Nintendo. Reggie Fils-Aime even dropped in on their little GameStop Manager’s Conference in Las Vegas yesterday to announce a price and date for Wii Fit Plus.
Launching on October 4th, Wii Fit Plus will be available bundled with a Balance Board for $100 or as a stand-alone disc for $20. Wii Fit Plus is an update to the hugely popular Wii Fit, which it will be replacing at retail: it adds six new exercises, 15 new mini games, and the ability to customize your workout to focus on certain body parts.

Hey, I’m amazed they’re putting the software out solo for only $20. One would have thought Nintendo would see if they could squeeze $30-40 out of us again. ;P
I wonder how much (if any) trade-in the original Wii Fit will be worth?
I was just wondering the same thing Rob. I can’t see it being worth much traded in, it’s virtually useless without the board. But yes, this is an excellent price for just the software. Means I’ll probably pick it up. Hopefully it’ll use your Wii Fit save data and carry over your progress and everything.
