New Releases This Week – August 23rd, 2009

We hope you spent those slow, languid weeks of summer catching up on your backlog of unplayed games, because this is the week it all comes to an end. School is about to be in session in more ways than one.

Puzzling mystery returns to the DS with Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box on Monday followed by a meaty schedule on the 25th. The Dark Knight drops into the picture with Batman: Arkham Asylum, Cloud and Sephiroth clash in Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Fallout 3‘s “Point Lookout” and “Broken Steel” DLC expansions hit shelves packed together in disc form. We also see that Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger, which missed last week’s scheduled release, is back on track. We can only assume someone finally found the dagger, giving the operation the go-ahead.

For the rest of the details, hit the jump.

A new Professor Layton is tempting, but I suppose I should hold off until I finish the original.

  2. I am going to rent the Batman game. If it is great as the demo has led me to believe, then I will probably end up purchasing it.

  3. What a good week! I think Professor Layton and Batman will both be purchased by this weekend.

  4. If only we were made of money, eh? I’d own every single game that’s available, even stuff like “Beach Fun Summer”…seriously. What the hell is that?

Batman is getting some pretty good reviews, so we will probably pick that up some time this week.

Too bad I’m pretty broke or I’d get the new Layton. I’ll try and get it at some point as I enjoyed the first game.

  7. I want Layton and Batman, but I’m saving up for a new computer :(…
