So, as we mentioned yesterday, August 22nd was Crush! Frag! Destroy!’s six month anniversary – half a year that we’ve been up and running. My, how the time flies, huh? In the time that we’ve been here, we’ve gone from a tiny trickle of traffic to recently receiving a rather substantial surge of new eyes on the site from all over the net.

And what better way to thank you than with free stuff!

Some of you may recall we did a small giveaway on the site’s one month anniversary – we gave out the winner’s choice of a $20 card for either PlayStation Network, Xbox Live or the Wii Shop. We decided to up the ante a bit this time around.

How does a full game for the platform of your choice sound?

The Prize: One (1) video game of the winner’s choosing for the platform of their choosing.

Who is Eligible?: Any reader of Crush! Frag! Destroy!, excluding staff, is eligible to enter. Members of affiliated sites are eligible, unless they are also members of the CFD! staff (ie: sorry Jason and Scott).

How Long is the Contest Running?: The window for entry starts today (Sunday, August 23rd) and will run for one week, closing at 12 midnight, PDT/3am EDT on Sunday, August 30th.

How Do I Enter?: Entry into the contest is very, very simple. Sign up for an account on CFD! using the login at the top of the left sidebar and then leave a comment in this thread. It’s as simple as that! However, there’s more to it than that. Allow me to explain.

You can earn multiple entries in the contest in a variety of ways, thereby increasing your chances of winning. Methods of earning extra entries are as follows:

• You earn one extra entry if you upload an avatar. This can either be a local or by setting a global one at Gravatar.com (which is quick, free and super simple, btw).
• You earn one extra entry for every comment you leave on a post during the duration of the contest. This does not mean to go back and spam older posts with comments – only comments on posts made after the start of the contest count. Also, make sure your posts actually have something to say as any comments deemed too short or obviously spammy for the sole purpose of garnering entries (ie: “First!”, “Looks great” or similar) will not be counted towards your total.
• You earn two extra entries if you refer a friend to sign up for the site. Note that they must mention your referral either in the comment on this post or email us separately about it to receive credit. Keep in mind, we can detect fake accounts set up for the purposes of padding your entries, so do us a favor and don’t even bother trying.
• You earn three extra entries if you follow our Twitter feed, join our Facebook page, join our Steam group or subscribe to our YouTube account. For a maximum total of twelve entries.
• You earn three extra entries each time you re-tweet the following message this week (for up to a total of three RTs/nine entries max. – extras will not count, so don’t spam). “RT @CrushFragDstroy CFD! is six months old and we’re giving away a FREE game of your choice – Enter now! http://bit.ly/4zv79S”

That’s it. It’s not as complex as it looks, to be honest – we just want to encourage you to get involved and interact with the site and its community and if good ol’ fashioned bribery is what it takes, well I’m certainly not above that.

We’ll handle all the bookkeeping on this end. If you’re an existing member of the site and/or you have already fulfilled any of the above criteria, you will be automatically awarded the appropriate number of entries when you make your comment to enter below.
