Yep, you read that right. It’s a WoW patch on a Wednesday and without any warning to boot. Apparently 3.2 had caused some issues that Blizzard couldn’t hot fix, which required an urgent patch to be released today.
It would appear that Mac users will actually be able to play WoW again after the patch, which should make them all rather happy. You can read all the details after the jump.
We’ll be releasing a minor bug fix patch to version 3.2.0a. This sort of patch is very small in size, and we use them to fix specific issues that can’t be hot-fixed. Issues addressed with this patch:
- Fixed an exploit players were using with / commands
- Fixed a performance issue with players logging into the game
- Fixed an issue with Mac clients freezing near water
- Fixed a crash Mac clients were experiencing with shadows on Fixed Function cards
- Fixed an art issue with Freya Hard Mode where the light beams were visually too hard to see
- Fixed an issue with Loaner mounts requiring Cold Weather Flying
We will be bringing all realms down very soon for this small, but urgent patch. Downtime is expected to be quite minimal, as only rolling restarts will be required. Updating your game client will take only a small download.
I think they missed something with that patch.
i have 2 lvl 80 hordes with LOTS of stone keeper shards, recently i made a gnome rogue to have some fun with on that same server but i cannot send my own toon gear or gold. i cant even send bind to account items to my alliance. its lame. tell blizz to fix that shit
It’s because it’s horde. They lifted the “You can’t have an ally and horde on the same server” rule, but you still can’t send mail cross faction.
You can send gold to your rogue using the shared auction house. Just put a grey item on there for like 200g and go buy it with your mains. You lose 10% but at least you’re not struggling for bag space.
what about the shadowinstance fix??

JonTheGreat – While the patch seemingly did not allow you to transfer items between factions you can trade gold via the Neutral Auction Houses which works but it’s not a great answer. Other than that you’ll have to wait for the Cross-Faction Transfers that were said to be coming “Soon”.
Jamcity – I’m not sure what “shadowinstance” is but if you could give me some more info maybe I could find an answer.
the patch started downloading and it only went to 70%.Then it said closing files and just stoped answers apreciated
scratch that says wainting for files to close.I read Tech.said if i have problems they said for laptops i have a dsktop with Vista.Again answers appreciated

I think i have found the problem. Just turn of Kaspersky Antivirus or Internet security and go to World of Warcraft folder and there you will find the Downloaded file WoW-3.2.0.10192-to-3.2.0.10314-enUS-patch.exe or WoW-3.2.0.10192-to-3.2.0.10314-enGB-patch.exe and just Manual activate it while Antivirus off.
I have had that same problem my self a few times, all I did was close it, restart it…repeat till it works, took me like 5 times but it finaly worked.
