New Mass Effect 2 Character Revealed in GamesCom Trailer
EA just finished their pre-GamesCom press conference just a few minutes ago and during it, they teased us with yet another trailer for Mass Effect 2.
We also got our first look at a new character due to debut in the game. Say hello to Grunt.
For those of you not up on your ME lore, Grunt is a Krogan, much like your previous companion from the first game – the gruff mercenary, Urdnot Wrex. What’s going to differentiate Grunt from Wrex, you ask? Umm… well the video says he’s “irrationally violent”, but I don’t exactly remember Wrex being a paragon of pacifism. He’s also apparently “reckless” and “unpredictable”, which must be Krogan-speak for “Runs head first into people like the freakin’ Juggernaut”.

Holy crap that looks awesome! No, Wrex was a bit milder for a Krogan, he didn’t like the idea of his race going extinct while most other’s didn’t give fuck. Grunt looks like a ‘typical’ Krogan Mercenary, willing to fight for credits or just to.. you know.. fight.
