If you’ve recently picked up a PS3, or have just overlooked LittleBigPlanet up to this point, the Playstation Blog has some exciting news for you.
Media Molecule and SCEA have announced that LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition will be on sale September 8th for $59.99. Take a look at the video above and then hit the jump for the details.
The Game of the Year Edition contains the following.
- The original title and all of the bells and whistles that were included in that package.
- As a sample of the wide selection of levels available for download. The good folks at Media Molecule have hand-picked 18 “extraordinary” people to create bonus levels specifically for the GOTY edition, including interviews with each creator.
The Game of the Year Edition will also include the following 7 add-on packs that are currently available on the Playstation Store.
- Metal Gear Solid Level Pack – featuring the “Paintinator” paintball gun
- Metal Gear Solid Costumes
- Monsters Costumes
- Monsters Pack
- History Costumes
- History Pack
- Animals Costumes
That’s an additional thirty dollars worth of content that you savvy consumers get for free.
Lastly, a limited number of GOTY Editions will contain vouchers with a code to enter the upcoming ModNation Racers beta, the next game in the “Play, Create, Share” line.
