Hey there, PlayStation 3 fans. Are you jealous of those nifty gamertags your Xbox 360 brethren have been able to embed on websites since, well, almost forever? Tired of your alternative being third-party sites where you have to manually update your trophy information or just being forced to go with the rather bland official “Portable ID”?

Well, it seems that Sony has finally heard your cries. Coming later this week, your PSN account and Portable ID are going to be getting a number of nifty new features. Check the video below for a peek.

While Sony may be a bit late to the party on this one, I have to say I’m glad to finally see it come. This was long overdue and I’m sure PS3 owners were a little tired of feeling like second class citizens on the achievement bragging front.
