Steam Indie Games Weekend Sale Too Awesome to Pass Up

world-of-goo.jpg

“Indie” doesn’t have to mean “snobby and pretentious hipster crap” – it can also mean “delicious and affordable quirky fun”. And this weekend’s Steam sale is packed full of that!

The following package of games is on sale until Monday, August 10th  for the criminally low price of just $29.99:

  • Audiosurf
  • Blueberry Garden
  • Braid
  • Crayon Physics Deluxe
  • Darwinia
  • Everyday Shooter
  • Gish
  • Mr. Robot
  • The Path
  • World of Goo

If you purchased all of them separately, it would total up to $120 so I dare you to find a better deal! If you want something lighter, a 5-pack featuring just Blueberry Garden, Braid, Everyday Shooter, The Path and World of Goo is available for $19.99. Either way, it’s a great deal.

If you need a little more convincing, check out Scott’s review of Blueberry Garden, but either way, run – don’t walk – to the Steam store and check it out. Even though I already own World of Goo on Steam and Braid on 360, I’m considering the big pack for myself as I’d already been looking at The Path, Audiosurf and Blueberry Garden and for just a couple of bucks more, I’m bound to like at least one of the others.
