Confused? Of course you are! You must be thinking, “Hey, The Sims 3 is already out everywhere else, so how can it go international?” Ah, but while this is true for the software, it’s not true for the characters contained within.

This November, your Sim families will have the chance of a lifetime to explore three new areas outside of Sunset Valley and Riverview. With The Sims 3 World Adventures, the new expansion announced today, your Sims will be able to journey outside of the metaphorical Sim States and journey to three unique areas: Shang Simla, China; Champs Les Sims, France; and Al Simhara, Egypt. Each of these new locales will offer new goals, skills to learn, and people for your Sim interact with. And, as an added bonus, players who purchase the expansion will be given 1000 SimPoints to spend in the Sims 3 Store (PC users only). Lastly, the expansion will be available for PC as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch.

No word yet on how much it will cost or if waiting at the airport is part of the experience.
