I think it’s fair to say gamers have pretty much forgiven Q-Games for getting the PixelJunk franchise off to a rough start. When you follow mediocre games like 2007′s PixelJunk Racers with excellent offerings like PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Eden, it’s really hard not to.
So, for those of you salivating in anticipation for this year’s newest entry, the rather blandly named PixelJunk Shooter, we have a little treat for you: SCEA’s Matt Morton demoing part of the game live at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Mmm…delicious, delicious fluid physics. Though if we had one complaint about this video, it would simply be that we spent way too much time focused on Matt’s face and not enough on the in-game footage. I can understand pulling back now and then to show us controls and for the intro and wrap-up. However, you’re supposed to be selling us on the game, not distracting us with the pattern on your shirt and the gap in your front teeth, Matt.
And before anyone blows a gasket, I have a gap in my front teeth too, so hush – I’m allowed to make fun of it.
