New Releases This Week – July 26th, 2009

This week continues the typical summer pattern of slow releases. There is one big tent-pole title to speak of, however. Ironically enough it simulates just the kind of stuff that so-called “normal people” would actually be out doing with their friends and families this time of year. I’m speaking, of course, of Wii Sports Resort. So if you’ve been waiting to see enhanced waggle showcased in prime form, this is the week you’ve been waiting for. Not having yet picked up a Wii MotionPlus yet, this looks like a good time for me to strike.

Beyond that, it’s another week of DLC releases, kid-friendly games and a smattering of PC titles, including the finally-available port of Bionic Commando. And if you savvy online shoppers happen to be interested in any of those titles, this may be the time to try picking them up on Amazon and Play-Asia via CFD!’s conveniently placed portals to the right. Yes, that was a gratuitous plug, but we need to let you people know they’re there somehow, right?

  1. It figures they’d finally release Launch of the Screaming Narwhal on the Wii right after I get rid of it…
