So apparently when a role-playing game and a first person shooter have a baby, you get Gearbox’s Borderlands. Or at least, so says the trailer just released by 2K.

If you asked us to wager a guess, we think Mama Fallout 3 has been messing around with Crackdown behind the FPS daddy’s back, what with the cell shading and all that. Looks like it won’t be long before this all ends up on Springer with a wall of bleeped curses and security holding the parties in question at arms length from each other.

Either way, Borderlands is set to birth on October 20th in North America and October 23rd in most of the rest of the world. Do they even make Mad Max-style wastelander onesies? Something like that might make me overcome my irrational dislike for babies. Who wouldn’t love a toddler clad in an outfit made of leather, scrap metal and nails?
