Games set in the WWII era have tended to fall into two categories, RTS or FPS, and have been saturating the market over the last few years. As a result, the gaming community has grown increasingly apathetic towards titles set in that time period, but Electronic Arts and Pandemic Studios are gambling that gamers will want to revisit this period in history in the new action-adventure, The Saboteur.
Due out later this year, players will assume the role of Sean Devlin is his fight against the Nazis, with the help of Allied forces, as he tracks down the Nazi officer who has taken away everything in his life. Gameplay looks to resemble Assassin’s Creed as Sean will get assignments and carry out assassinations and attacks in Nazi-occupied Paris. However, the game utilizes a unique feature called “The Will to Fight”, which sets it apart from the Ubisoft franchise. As Sean Devlin carries out his missions, the Parisians will respond to your actions and color will return to the black and white streets of Paris.
