Teaser trailers are commonplace in the realm of video game and movie advertising these days – a brief glimpse, often showing very little in the way of actual movie/game content to build up excitement for an upcoming property. You all remember the teaser for Star Trek that showed, at the end, a panned-out shot of the Enterprise being built, right? Yeah, stuff like that.
Well Rebellion, the team behind 1999′s original AvP title, and Sega have whittled the concept down to a freakin’ art for the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator revamp: a trailer with exactly three glimpses of game-based visuals and three screenshots – one each from the POV of the three races. Screens are under the cut.
OMG! I can’t wait! I wasted so much of my life with the first AvP. I’m certain this will do the same to me.
The only reason Aliens vs. Predator 2 didn’t completely consume my like is that I didn’t have an adequate internet connection back then. Since this is bound for consoles all hope for me is lost. Oh well, it’s not like my wife didn’t know what she was getting into when we got married.
