For those prospective Xbox 360 owners out there who like the value added-ness of pack-in games but cant quite get their excitement up for Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones, your patience has been rewarded.
Major Nelson, everyone’s favorite Microsoft mouthpiece, dropped via his blog that beginning in May, a new Xbox 360 Elite package would be hitting retailer’s shelves. Dubbed the “Game of the Year” bundle, the console comes with not just one, but two bestselling titles as free pack-ins: Halo 3 and Fable II. Call me crazy, but if I were in the market for a new console, that looks like a pretty damn sweet bundle at $399 compared to, say, a PlayStation 3 for the same price with no games packed in. Come on, Sony! Step up your game!
The downside of this, according to Maj, is that the bundle will be available in all territories…except Europe. Sorry, guys.
