thedishwasherdeadsamurai_screenshot6.jpgThe Dishwasher: Dead Samurai rode a wave of hype and severed limbs out of last year’s Game Developer’s Conference and now is prepared to come to rest on the shores of Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow.

The XNA-developed hack n’ slash is the brainchild of James Silva, winner of the 2007 “Dream-Build-Play” contest. Silva, an ex-dishwasher himself, netted $10,000 and an Xbox Live Arcade publishing contract out of the deal. A demo for the title, temporarily available on the service last year along with other selected XNA offerings, was well received by critics. Moody graphics and good production values definitely set this title apart from most of the offerings seen on the XNA Community Games portal.

The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai goes on sale April 1st for 800 Microsoft points on Xbox Live Arcade. Check out a handful of screens after the jump.

For awhile there I thought this was never gonna be released. It’s been the XNA frontrunner since the first video/screenshot was released but that was what, two years ago?
