When we posted a week ago that Castle Crashers devs, The Behemoth, would be dropping a trailer for their upcoming title on March 18th, we weren’t expecting them to get all sneaky on us.

From their devblog:

“I guess when we said that we would release the trailer on the 18th we didn’t really elaborate in which part of the country we would be in at the time. So here it is, our super early trailer for our third game which currently has no title.”

Sounds good to us – we always like getting stuff early. Take a look for yourselves.

Pretty epic stuff, though that may just be the music sweeping us up in the tragedy of that little tearful guy and his huge emerald. At least, we’re going to assume it’s a tragedy from what we’ve seen thus far; he’s exuding pathos.

The game (which I think we can now safely call a co-op platformer) is still going by the working title of “Game #3″. Platforms and dates have yet to be announced.

Looks to possibly the the bastard child of SSB and Dice Wars? Like you’re one color and your opponent is another color and you can color squares and whoever has the most squares of their color wins when the time’s up? And you can kill them to take over their squares or something. I can’t wait to see it regardless.

  2. Looks neat. I loved the cinematic portion of the trailer — total “WTF?” :D
